Our Team

Hello from the Clarks!

The Walk in the Park Studios team is small but mighty. We're a pair of siblings who grew up playing pretend in the gorgeous mountains of Colorado. Our shared passion for game development grew out of countless hours spent huddled in front of our GameCube, engrossed in the vivid worlds of games like The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Super Mario Galaxy, and any couch co-op game we could get our hands on. Making games together has been a lifelong dream of ours, and we're thrilled to be getting started.

Follow us on Instagram for more pretty pictures of parks, or check out our dev blog to follow along with our studio's progress. Can't wait to see you there!

Aspen Clark

Co-founder, game designer, narrative designer

Nice to meet you! I'm Aspen, Walk in the Park's co-founder, game designer, and resident writer. I'm a poet, a gardener, a cook, and a gamer whose greatest joys in life are my plants, my fish tank, and my well-seasoned cast iron skillet. I started my career in game development as a designer at Bethesda Game Studios, where I became known for my witty robot dialogue and engaging gameplay systems. I'm a "player first" designer who always strives to shape experiences with fun and storytelling in mind. My passion for designing games geared towards younger audiences led me to my current position at Steel Wool Studios, where I worked as a Lead Designer on indie horror titles. At Walk in the Park, I hope to apply my expertise to create fun, joyful experiences for my players. Drop me a line on LinkedIn or check out my personal portfolio to learn more about what I'm up to. Can't wait to chat!

Sierra "Cc" Clark

img_6972.jpg

Co-founder, technical designer, composer

Hey there! I’m Sierra, but you can call me Cc! I’m co-founder, technical designer, and audio wiz-kid here at Walk in the Park Studios. I grew up in the pine trees and plains of Colorado with a pink Nintendo DS and a game soundtrack playing on my iPod Touch. As a lifelong player I’m always seeking out innovative gameplay ideas or combinations and richly executed sound design with every game I pick up. Here at Walk in the Park, I’m leveling up my technical and design skills from the University of Denver and SMU Guildhall and professional experience at Stray Kite Studios and turning them into bold and vibrant gameplay design. When I’m not adjusting the same jump velocity variable by 1cm/sec at a time, you can find me recording, mixing, mastering, and implementing inspiring and immersive audio experiences and musical submersions. Let’s take a walk and chat together!
